How to Achive a Higher FPS

Hello Everyone,

It is VeGAS and today I am going to give you guys some tips for those of you with lower end graphics cards and those who cannot achieve a higher FPS.

First, to start off I advise to go read SkillScope's thread on info about the benefits of higher FPS:https://noobsrus.forumotion.com/t80-a-quick-guide-to-fps

Ok my first tip is to download Razer Gamebooster which is a very useful program that eliminates background processes that are unneeded while gaming it can be found here: http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster(This program is only for windows.)

Instructions to download:

Next goto the windows button and right click on computer and click properties:

Then click on advanced system settings:

Then click on performance:

Then click Adjust for best performance, then apply(This makes windows look weird but you can change it back when you are done gaming)

After that click Ok.

Next you are going to want to download a background booster here:http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5695

First click Manual Download:

Then click the second one:

Then choose the normal server that is closest to you:

After it is done download unrar it and put it on your desktop

Then double click on the batch file this makes your cpu run at full speed so you get a higher fps.(Run this right before you play a game)

The last step is to get the yitch3.cfg found here: http://bashandslash.com/images/stories/cod4/tweaks/yitch3.cfg

Clickon the screen and press CTRL+A so it is all selected

Then goto C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles(Then click on your name)

Double click on config_mp.cfg

Then click CTRL+A then CTRL+V to replace it all.

Next open up CoD 4 and goto multiplayer settings to change your name back.(The graphics will be low you can raise them but make sure you still have a stable FPS.
