Computer build

So I'm going to build a new computer and I could use some help picking out the parts. Unfortunately I am running on a low budget(around $600) Anyone got any ideas?

Motherboard-ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970
HDD-Western Digital WD Blue 1TB
Case-Rosewill Challenger
DVD Drive- Black SATA 24X DVD Burner
PSU-Corsair CX 500



This is not including an operating system.

I honestly have no idea Bought it in a store in 09 because I'm not very good with computers(Which is also why I'm asking around for parts )

Well do you plan on building it yourself once you have all the parts? This is also something to consider when buying a new PC. I build all my PC's myself and Mine is a couple years old.

Personally, I would go with an Intel setup over an AMD. I've personally had both and honestly, i like Intel a bit better. AMD does make great products tho so It's not like your losing if you do decide to go with them. Also, i like to with nVidia cards rather than ATI (AMD). It's just my preference.
