Post  OXYMORON Mon Jul 22, 2013 4:14 pm

hello my name is OXYMORON..and i recently just started playing on your servers....today i will  make a guide for begineers and pros respectivl....p.s im not a pro.....i dont care about all that stuff about noob or pro or shittt..RIght now i will be giving an overview of all the weapons in COD4...O HERE WE GO.............

Weapon: M16A4
Accuracy: 10 / 12
Damage: 7 / 12
Range: 9 / 12
Fire Rate: 9+ / 12
Mobility: 8 / 12
Clip Size/Reserve Ammo: 30/60
Recoil: low cluster
Reload Time: 2 seconds / 2.365 empty
Good Perks/Attachments: Stopping Power, Red Dot

Sight, Steady Aim, Double Tap
Standard service rifle for the U.S. Armed Forces. Fires a 3-round burst. With the Stopping Power perk, this rifle is pretty much a guaranteed one-burst kill if you can land all three shots on your target. Definitely not recommended for the aggressive, run-and-gun player, but one of the deadliest guns in the game for those who like to hang back a little and engage in medium-long range fire.

Weapon: AK-47
Accuracy: 6 / 12
Damage: 9 / 12
Range: 9 / 12
Fire Rate: 6 / 12
Mobility: 8 / 12
Clip Size/Reserve Ammo: 30/60
Recoil: low/moderate cluster
Reload Time: 2.5 seconds / 3.25 empty
Good Perks/Attachments: Stopping Power, Red Dot Sight, Steady Aim, Double Tap
Still the most iconic and best-selling assault rifle worldwide. Fires on full auto. The rifle has a noticeable vertical kick to it, but its recoil suppressor ensures that the rifle levels again before firing the next shot. Slightly better for closer-quarters combat than the M16 or M4, but still pulls off good middle-long distance single shots. The M4 still dominates the AK at medium range though.

Weapon: Heckler & Koch G3
Accuracy: 11 / 12
Damage: 9 / 12
Range: 9 / 12
Fire Rate: 4 / 12
Mobility: 8 / 12
Clip Size/Reserve Ammo: 20/40
Recoil: very low cluster
Reload Time: 2.75 seconds / 3.75 empty
Good Perks/Attachments: Bandolier, Stopping Power, Double Tap, Red Dot Sight, ACOG scope

Battle rifle designed in Germany and Spain; used by NATO and non-NATO militaries worldwide. CoD4 features a single-shot version of the rifle. The combined accuracy and damage on this gun make it sort of a mini-sniper rifle limited only by how sharp your eye is or, if you attach an ACOG, how steady your hand is. With Stopping Power, two consecutive shots will drop a target. Take advantage of the accuracy and go for headshots when you can. Not recommended at all for close quarters, since the slow rate of fire and poor running accuracy can cripple you. You don't get many shots with this gun, so consider bulking your ammo with Bandolier.
(Note: You unlock the G3 at Rank 25 2nd Lieutenant)

Weapon: Heckler & Koch G36C
Accuracy: 8+ / 12
Damage: 7 / 12
Range: 9 / 12
Fire Rate: 7 / 12
Mobility: 8 / 12
Clip Size/Reserve Ammo: 30/60
Recoil: moderate cluster
Reload Time: 2.1 seconds / 2.967 empty
Good Perks/Attachments: Bandolier, Stopping Power, Red Dot Sight

The compact version of the G36, a successor to the G3 used in militaries worldwide. Fires in full-auto. This rifle tends to work better in medium-close quarters. You may want to use Bandolier to bolster your ammo, because it's a spray-friendly kind of gun.
(Note: You unlock the G36C at Rank 37 Lieutenant Colonel)

Weapon: M4 Carbine
Accuracy: 9 / 12
Damage: 5 / 12
Range: 9 / 12
Fire Rate: 9 / 12
Mobility: 8 / 12
Clip Size/Reserve Ammo: 30/60
Recoil: low cluster
Reload Time: 2.03 seconds / 2.36 empty
Good Perks/Attachments: Stopping Power, Red Dot Sight, Steady Aim

Standard service carbine of the U.S. Armed Forces, preferred weapon of the Marine Corps. Fires on full-auto. This is one of the most popular guns you'll see on most servers, since it can lay a lot of bullets on a target in a very short amount of time with minimal recoil. On paper it's not very powerful, but if you aim it carefully it'll drop enemies in short order. If you just can't seem to draw a bead on moving targets with the burst-fire M16, switch to the M4 and you should get better results. This one does just about everything you'll want it to, except for maybe max-range sniping and super-fast ninja-ing.

Weapon: M14
Accuracy: 9 / 12
Damage: 9+ / 12
Range: 9 / 12
Fire Rate: 4 / 12
Mobility: 8 / 12
Clip Size/Reserve Ammo: 20/40
Recoil: high vertical
Reload Time: 2.5 seconds / 3.06 empty
Good Perks/Attachments: Bandolier, ACOG scope, Steady Aim

This battle rifle has been in active U.S. military service since the Korean War era. CoD4 gives you the single-shot version. If you try to use it long range, as it's supposed to be used, you'll wish you had the ability to hold your breath and steady it. In theory, two successive shots without Stopping Power will drop an enemy, but you'll have to wait a relatively long time to wait for the recoil to die off before taking a second shot. Not good for close combat or situations where you can't take your time when firing. Still, with steady aim, you can actually use this weapon at close range. At long range, you better have red dot site equipped if you want to get some kills because the iron sights make it pretty hard to shoot.

(Note: The M14 is unlocked at Rank 46 Major General)

Weapon: Mp44
Accuracy: 6 / 12
Damage: 9 / 12
Range: 9 / 12
Fire Rate: 3 / 12
Mobility: 8 / 12
Clip Size/Reserve Ammo: 30/60
Recoil: moderate/high vertical
Reload Time: 2.5 seconds / 3.06 empty
Good Perks/Attachments: Stopping Power, Double Tap, Steady Aim

One of the first true assault rifles, developed by the German Army during World War II. Fires in full-auto. This gun is a salute to fans of the Call of Duty series throughout its WWII phase, where the MP44 was one of the best guns in the game. In CoD4, this gun is here mainly for nostalgia and if you want to test your skills with a gun that isn't quite as good as the AK-47 and doesn't have attachments available. Use it the same as the AK.

IDEPTH WITH EVERY AR LISTED SO FAR

About the M16

Standard service rifle for the U.S. Armed Forces. Fires a 3-round burst. With the Stopping Power perk, this rifle is pretty much a guaranteed one-burst kill if you can land all three shots on your target. Definitely not recommended for the aggressive, run-and-gun player, but one of the deadliest guns in the game for those who like to hang back a little and engage in medium-long range fire.

General Tips: As mentioned above, with Stopping Power, this gun kills in one burst if all bullets hit the target. Therefore, quick aiming skills are needed in order to succeed, since this gun cannot spray and pray like full automatic weapons can. If you miss your first burst, you will need to wait slightly before you can fire again, making it highly unforgiving.

Also, it generally wastes ammo since one click of the trigger shoots out 3 bullets. This gun has excellent accuracy and range, so it can be successful at far and medium ranges, however, it is hard to use this gun close range when you begin. So when facing an enemy up-close and personal, try firing from the hip and slamming your finger on the trigger as fast as you can. Just a warning, with this gun your finger may get tired.

Another tip: It is important to paint your enemy as you shoot them, since the bullets do not come out simultaneously. A general strategy for this gun is to sit back, so you are safe but still watching the action and firing from some distance back. Running and gunning will not work since this is not a fully automatic gun. Also, when shooting long-range targets, you will need to fire more than once since the bullets deviate from their target.

The Bad: Some negative aspects of this gun include the constant torture of being labeled an “M16 noob”. People generally dislike this gun since they feel it has no negatives. But, it actually has a lot:

Unforgiving, meaning if you shoot and miss when the enemy sees you, you are in trouble
Shooting through walls is hard since you cannot go full auto
Close quarters action can be difficult for those not used to the M16
Bad against many enemies at a time
Bad when out of range (shooting enemies too far is very hard)
You often run out of ammo since 1 trigger pull=3 shots
Iron sights can be a problem for people who like AK's or RPD's ironsights

M16 Perks

These Perks will help compensate for the M16’s weaknesses.

Bandolier - Since you will run out of ammo a lot, Bandolier will prevent this and give you extra ammo. What’s not to like?

Stopping Power - Highly recommended… it makes the M16 kill almost always in one burst.

Frag x 3 - Complements the M16 nicely since Frags can be tossed over wall, through windows, etc.

Overkill - Works well since you can have an SMG for close ranged encounters.

Deep Impact - Will help fire through walls and kill people hiding out behind them. If you like getting X-Ray kills, this works well.

UAV Jammer - When using a silenced M16, it is nice to never be on enemy UAV. It also feels and sounds good when you fire.

Double Tap - Some people say it's better than stopping power. It significantly increases fire rate and can kill very quickly if you aim well. However, the M16 already burns ammo quick, and you'll find yourself running dry very quickly if you use this. I'd say for total running and gunning use only. Typically I would like to get more damage into the person instead of more metal, but it’s all personal preference.

Sleight of Hand - Recommended for Hardcore mainly, can be used for non-hardcore as well but is kind of a waste. Reload time is average, nothing ridiculous but not really favored. If you find you have no problem with its natural stats, but reload constantly in the middle of firefights, this might be a good perk for you.

Steady Aim - Helps a whole lot when firing from the hip to take out SMGers. I also highly recommend this.

Dead Silence - Works well together with UAV Jammer, makes you very quiet and not make any noise when moving.

M16 Maps

The M16 is best used on larger maps because you should usually be using it at some range.

Side Arm: Desert Eagle
Special Grenade: Stun
Perk 1: Frag x3
Perk 2: Stopping Power
Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning

ATTACHMENTS-Red Dot Sight -
This is my choice for the M16A4. The ironsights take awhile to get used to, but I like the additional peripheral vision and easy aiming capabilties RDS brings. RDS is especially useful since you will be firing from farther away, and RDS makes it a whole lot easier to aim from that distance.

Silencer -
This works well too, but you may have trouble with the ironsights until you get used to them. It makes you as stealthy as a ninja, decreases muzzle flash, and obviously makes you quieter. This is all at the expense of a range deduction, which may be troublesome since this gun works well at longer ranges.

Advance Combative Optical Gunsight (ACOG) -
The ACOG is excellent for hardcore, but it does not work too good in regular TDM since you lose a lot of peripheral vision, accuracy, and close-range abilities. When using the ACOG, the bullets tend to drift more, making it harder to get a one-burst kill. Only recommended for skilled ACOG users (or for hardcore). Grenade Launcher: Again, I always do not recommend the noobtube since it takes away Perk 1, requires no skill whatsoever, and you cannot use RDS with it. But, the decision is all yours.

AK47-The dreaded AK-47 is potentially the most versatile gun in the game. It has power, accuracy, mobility, and, of course, style. Despite its low rate of fire, this gun definitely packs a punch. And with stopping power, really anything is possible. The recoil may be annoying at times, but firing it short bursts will decrease the recoil and allow you to succeed.

General Tips: In order to have successful games using this gun, it is essential to fire in short bursts like I have said previously. This will allow you to dominate in far and medium ranges and avoid recoil. Up close however, shoot constantly from the hip and you will triumph over the other players. The AK-47, equipped with stopping power, will kill in 2-3 shots, so that should help a lot. Despite its mediocre accuracy, it aims pretty well and can counter a sniper easily. Because the AK-47 has great iron sights, attachments don’t have to be added to do well.

The Bad: As I have already mentioned, the RDS, when on the AK-47, decreases its power. The AK-47 also has a lot of recoil and mediocre accurracy, so if your aim needs improvement, the AK-47 is not for you. Another downside to this gun is its low rate of fire. This can be annoying at times because, up against a P90 close-range, you will probably die. Therefore, play like you are using an M16A4: burst shots work very well and therefore the low rate of fire is not a limiting factor.

AK-47 Perks

The AK-47 is a great weapon for medium to long range fighting, as well as close range encounters..so a wide array of perks work well with this weapon, but here are our recommended perks, of course feel free to experiment and try other perks as well.If you develop a great strategy with a certain combination, please submit it and it will be added here with credit to your name.

Bandolier - Once again we recommend this as perk 1, like a lot of the other weapons. As always, if you find yourself out of ammo frequently, bandolier will help you a whole lot.

Stopping Power - The AK-47 already kills very fast, and with stopping power, you can kill in a split second up close. This gives your gun more power, and you can usually kill with 2-3 shots in range. It is the best perk for the AK-47, in my opinion.

UAV Jammer - When you are using an AK-47 silenced, why not add UAV jammer? This practically makes you invisible radar-wise to other team—perfect for stealthy operations.

Double Tap: If you want to improve the AK-47’s rate of fire, add this perk. You may waste more ammo, but you should be able to do much better close range.

Steady Aim - The ultimate perk to help you fire from the hip. Because the AK-47 has mediocre accuracy, firing from the hip up close can be hard. Steady aim fixes that.

Deep Impact - When someone is hiding behind a wall, and you want to kill them with ease, you need deep impact. It allows you to fire through walls with more power.

Extreme Conditioning - If you are a flanker, or a covert soldier, extreme conditioning will help you get places faster.

AK-47 Maps

Really, the AK-47 can dominate on all maps. It just takes knowledge of the maps to succeed. But, I will tell you some of the best maps for the AK-47:

Ambush
Backlot
Bog
Crash
Countdown
District
Downpour
Overgrown
Shipment
Strike

Golden AK-47

When you complete all of the Assault Rifle challenges, you unlock the Golden AK-47. The stats are the same, but you get a cool looking gold AK-47 and bragging rights. So it's worth it, I think.

AK-47 Custom Classes

Note - For stealth classes, I recommend the USP .45 with a silencer. For non-stealth, of course the Desert Eagle.

Class Name: General Run and Gun
Primary Weapon: AK-47
Attachment: Red Dot Sight
Side Arm: Desert Eagle
Special Grenade: Stun Grenade
Perk 1: Bandolier
Perk 2: Stopping Power
Perk 3: Steady Aim

Class Name: The Ninja
Primary Weapon: AK-47
Attachment:Silencer
Side Arm: USP .45 w/Silencer
Special Grenade: Stun Grenade
Perk 1: Special grenade x3
Perk 2: UAV Jammer
Perk 3: Dead Silence OR Steady Aim

ATTACHMENTS-Red Dot Sight -
This attachment helps significantly in aiming, but it decreases the damage for far ranges. However, this should not be a problem because this gun has a huge range. And even if it does decrease power, you will still kill easily with stopping power and the added bonus of easier aiming that the RDS gives, I would say, cancels out the less damage factor. Of course, if you really are concerned about the decrease in damage that RDS causes, then I would suggest using the gun with no attachments.

Silencer -
The AK-47 is one of the best, silenced guns in the game. Its range will be hurt slightly, but it already has such a good range this won’t matter. And, the AK-47 has some of the best iron sights in the game, so you can aim pretty easy with it silenced. Of course, the silencer brings the regular advantages: not being seen on radar when you shoot when the other team has no UAV. But, it also decreases muzzle flash and, obviously, decreases noise. (Note from X: I really have to give the AK-47 some recognition for it's use with a silencer. It's very deadly, and the gun really becomes a beast with it in the right hands. Usually the AK is very loud without it, it's a bit distracting when you are in the heat of battle. But when you put a silencer on it, it becomes a graceful killing machine. The guns recoil seems to get better with the silencer on, or at least it makes it a lot easier to line up your shots and kill. It doesn't seem to kick as much with the silencer.)

AK-47 with Silencer attachment

Advance Combative Optical Gunsight (ACOG) -
I would not recommend the ACOG for the AK-47. This makes it harder to fire from the hip and makes it harder to aim closer ranged. It also decreases accuracy, and this is especially bad for the AK-47 whose accuracy is already low. However, it increases the range, so if you plan on shooting enemies from across the entire map, this could work well for you.

Zooming in an AK-47 with the ACOG

AK-47 with ACOG

Grenade Launcher
Don’t use it. That basically is my advice. First of all, the "noobtube" is already cheap and disliked by many players, so if you want to earn some respect, the grenade launcher is not for you. Also, if you still want to be hated by the world for using the grenade launcher, the AK-47 is not the right gun. Unlike the G36c, reloading a grenade into the launcher takes far too long for it to be successful. Really, the grenade launcher is a bad idea. You are better off using a Red Dot Sight or a Silencer with the AK.

G3-General Tips

An extremely powerful weapon, the G3 can act as an alternative for those tired of "spray and pray" weapons. It fires as fast you can pull the trigger, and kills in two consecutive shots when stopping power is equipped. Consider it a sort of "assault sniper" rifle, but effective in different ways from typical snipers since it doesn't carry the cumbersome scope and can still be used, if handled correctly, as a run and gun weapon. With minimal recoil, its iron sights are also very good (similar to the MP5's), so feel free to use it silenced or without an attachment at medium range.
The G3 is also a great gun for camping. With less zoom than a sniper rifle and all of the accuracy of one, it makes camping easy for almost any range. Just line up the dot, pop off a few quick shots and get the take-down. So long as they aren't shooting back at you, extra damage isn't really needed with your finger's fire rate, so stopping power isn't quite as needed. If you are camping, overkilling this weapon with an SMG or shotgun and using claymores is highly advised. With claymores, you can watch your back, and if they run out or you're striving for a little action, switch to your SMG or shotgun for some close quaters action. Any shotgun would work, but the skorpion is advised for SMG's simply because it dominates at close range, while the G3 takes care of medium and long ranges.
If desired, (although it's often overlooked as an option because of the G3's long-range prowess) you can also overkill this with a sniper--because the G3 shares ammunition with the M14, M21, M40A03, and R700.
The Bad

The G3's shortcomings are obvious. As a semi-automatic weapon, it is nearly useless in close-range situations. It also acts like a sniper rifle, but without the benefit of one-shot kills, so those not used to working with it can find themselves in sticky situations when confronted with multiple foes. The iron sights, while impressive, still make it tough to catch far-away enemies, so a red-dot sight or ACOG is often necessary. Like most assault rifles, it does not share ammunition with compatible secondary weapons.

G3 Perks

Claymore x2:
Good for camping with this gun, these protect your back from the flankers that are getting tired of seeing their blood run down the wall over and over again.

Bandolier :
While not a necessity if you're a decent shot, this is definitely something to equip for first-timers, who may find themselves putting 6-8 rounds into a target when not used to the iron sights.

Special-grenade x3:
Since the G3's semi-automatic nature can make it difficult to shoot through walls and lowers its close-range effectiveness, extra grenades help with one of its main weaknesses--clearing rooms.

Bomb Squad:
Although not extremely useful in normal modes, S&D and HxC S&D, along with most other objective modes, benefit from this perk. The ability to see enemy explosives puts you a step ahead of your enemies, as well as giving enemy snipers and campers a bit of a surprise.

Stopping Power:
Never leave home without it; this weapon is simply agonizing to use without the extra power given by this perk.

UAV Jammer:
Okay, fine, you can leave home without stopping power, but only if you have this perk. Combined with a silencer, the G3 with UAV jammer makes a powerful stealth weapon if used effectively.

Overkill:
Allows you to carry an SMG or shotgun with this gun, making close-range encounters much more survivable.

Steady-Aim:
This one, I swear, you really shouldn't leave home without. If you don't plan to carry usable close-range weapon, this is almost a necessity since the G3 is horribly inaccurate when not within sights.

Dead Silence:
If you have high enough rank and you're using the G3 silenced, be sure to add this one. Especially good for Hardcore or Hxc S&D games, you'll want to be the quietest person around with the G3. Combined with a silencer and UAV jammer, you are invisible save encounters where the enemy can visually confirm your presence, so use it to flank them or watch opponents approach the bomb and feel the pain as a single round impacts their face.

G3 Attachments

No Attachments:

The G3 has good iron sights that are very similar to those of the MP5. While it can be difficult to pick off enemies at very distant ranges, the sights are good enough to lend 25 kills in a short amount of time, which opens up the red dot sight.

Red Dot Sight - 25 Kills

A toss up with the ACOG depending on player style, this sight is effective as far as you can see, and can be used to take out just about any enemy.

Zooming in a G3 With Red Dot Sight Attachment

Silencer - 75 kills

Even though it forces use of the iron sights, the silencer is so effective on the G3 that it makes up for it. Combined with UAV Jammer, this attachment turns the G3 into a silent, elegant tool of death.

However, do be aware: the G3 with a silencer on it has a glitch. Its knife has about a 90% miss rate, even if you stab them directly in the chest when they are standing still. If you find yourself knifing, you will want to remember to switch to your side arm/secondary weapon just for a half a second, as the glitch does not carry on to your second weapon. This glitch is only when the G3 is silenced.

View of G3 through silencer/iron sights

Advance Combative Optical Gunsight (ACOG) - 150 kills

Providing 2X zoom, many prefer the ACOG scope over other G3 attachments, as it can't hurt the close-range efficacy of this weapon and does bring its realistic range to somewhere near that of the average sniper shot. Recoil on this weapon is low, so if you can deal with the "drift" associated with the ACOG scope, it's a good choice. For the average shot, though, it's gamer preference as to whether the red dot or ACOG scope comes up a winner.

Maps

Ambush: An amazing G3 map, just as good as it is for sniping. Try not to walk around too many corners, and either situate yourself on top of buildings overlooking the central road or staring down streets to rack up kills.

Backlot: The G3 does fairly well here; just be sure to set claymores and take your time.

Bloc: The G3 does fairly well here as either a sniper or a sniper hunter, moving through the buildings. Just be careful not to face off against anyone with a shotgun or automatic weapon.

Bog: Stay toward the edges of the map (away from the buildings) and kill off snipers and assault troops alike. The blood runs on this terrible, terrible map.

Countdown: A really good map, as it gives you a lot of mid-range shots to pop off.

District: Along the two main streets, you can be a deadly weapon with the G3. Watch the exploding cars and use cover to your advantage.

Downpour: Stay back from the fray and watch as enemies run into your sights, or alternately creep around with your ghost class and wreak havoc.

Pipeline: Set claymores and treat this as if you were sniping.

Strike: Easily one of the best maps for the G3, just stare down the street and or set up shop in a building to get a quick rise in your K/D.

M4-
The M4 is a weapon you will get very used to seeing and every type of map and game type. It combines high accuracy, average damage, low recoil, and versatility to create a package that can be lethal in anyone’s hands. In my opinion it is the best assault rifle in the game. The only major weakness is the mediocre damage, but this is easily fixed.

General Tips: The M4 is great at tearing down an enemy fairly quickly, and with little recoil. The recoil on this weapon is so small that you can hold down the shoot button, and still manage to kill someone at even medium range. At close range you should always go full auto and aim for your enemy, this is because of the M4s power, which is weaker than the other Assault Rifles.

The Bad: As I mentioned, the M4 is weaker than the other Assault Rifles, therefore, you might get killed before you can finish your enemy off. This is offset by using stopping power, and with stopping power, the M4 turns into a monster of a weapon.

The M4 is another great weapon for medium to long range fighting, as well as close range encounters..so once again, a wide array of perks work well with this weapon, but here are our recommended perks, of course feel free to experiment and try other perks as well.If you develop a great strategy with a certain combination, please submit it and it will be added here with credit to your name.

Bandolier - Once again we recommend this as perk 1, like a lot of the other weapons. The M4 burns through its ammo quickly, and having more ammo is always an advantage, especially if you’re stuck in a hostile area and don't fancy your chances with your sidearm/pistol. This tends to be a spray-friendly kind of gun, you don’t need to burst because of the low recoil.

Stopping Power - The M4 already kills very fast, and with stopping power, you can kill in a split second up close. You will probably end up using this every single time you play. Increases damage by 40%, something the M4 really needs. It has good fire rate, low recoil, and nice range, but it’s power is pretty weak naturally.. Probably the only really essential perk due to the M4s mediocre damage rating.

UAV Jammer - For those people who charge toward the red dots when they get UAV, you can easily ambush them without them expecting you because your red dot isn’t on the radar. Recommended for stealth classes.

Overkill - Only use if you are utterly incompetent with a pistol, but then you can just pick a dead players weapon. So not a very useful perk really. The only time this should really be used is with a very long range gun or a very short range gun, although usually I would tend to go for an SMG for long range and a sniper rifle or single shot assault rifle for a very short range gun, the best fully automatic is probably the G36C. Still, if you find the M4 works well for you overkilled with another weapon, then go for it, but I would recommend an SMG as that would give your M4 class much more of a chance at close quarters.

Deep Impact - If you aren't accurate and an enemy escapes your sites this can be a very useful perk indeed. If you like causing destruction and don't like leaving yourself exposed in a firefight (i.e. you want to shoot from behind a walls and stay out of sight) use this. Stopping Power is recommended over this, but if you are a camping person and shoot constantly through walls, then this perk can become quite valuable.

Double Tap - Some people say it's better than stopping power. It significantly increases fire rate and can kill very quickly if you aim well. However, the M4 already burns ammo quick, and you'll find yourself running dry very quickly if you use this.

Steady Aim - Improves hip fire accuracy. Useful for any attachment, hip-firing is very valuable with this gun because it’s not that great at close quarters. With this perk on you can gain full mobility while moving while still retaining full power and good accuracy, I find this perk saves me constantly.

Dead Silence - For use in Stealth mainly. Incredibly quiet, but you lose the ability to use something like steady aim. Crouching can be just as effective as dead silence, but if you like to not be heard while still sprinting, well then there you go, this perk was made for you.

M4 Maps

The M4 is good an almost every map, it is very versatile and can be used in many, many situations. Just a few are listed here:

Wetwork - Go prone on the corner of the containers and watch you kills go up, up and up!

Vacant - Good M4 map. M4 does well indoors and is okay outdoors.

Crash - You can take out many a person from the 3 story building, or just anywhere else generally.

Pipeline - Has long paths and great spots to camp if you favor camping, making this good for long range, which is what this gun excels at most.

Overgrown - Same as pipeline, long narrow roads and buildings to shoot from. More opportunities for close quarters situations in these building though, so be wary!

Ambush - Good for killing un-expectant sniper on the buildings.

Bad M4 Maps

Shipment - You'll get owned by shotguns and LMGs on this. Too close quarters to do anything long range.

Downpour - Not that bad but very easy to be flanked here. Good positioning is key if you want to succeed on this map.

Other Aesthetics: I’ve always loved the look of pure metal, and this gun being so long and shiny it’s been a favorite, especially with a silencer. I love it with no camo. Woodland and Desert look terrible on this gun, digital can be ok for some people but it’s kind of blotchy and it cuts out the shininess of the gun. Blue tiger is ok, but red tiger is the best in my opinion, you still retain a lot of shiny metal with some red stripes here and there. Looks great.

No Attachments
The M4 Iron Sights are pretty good. Though they constrict your view more than the other weapons iron sights, it is still better to use an attachment usch as the Red Dot Sight. It is very possible to get good at using the M4 Iron Sights, and they aren't as bad as a few other weapons, for example the M60.

M4 with no attachments

Red Dot Sight - 25 Kills
Very much recommended that you use this when unlocked. While it may not affect your stats or zoom that much, it becomes so much easier to aim with this weapon. It is a favored attachment for many, for while the iron sights on the M4 are pretty good, the Red Dot Sight is still better, mainly because of the fact you can see all around the red dot, there is no metal covering up the target. When you use the iron sight, you can’t see below your gun or anywhere the circle on the sights cover up, which could cause your death in a long range situation with a small target.

Zooming in an M4 with the Red Dot Sight

Silencer -
Though this takes off a very small ammount of range, it’s quite amazing for stealth. The bullets can still reach the same range as before with the same accuracy, but they will just do less damage. The iron sights are good on this weapon, too, which is one of the main problems with silencers. And although by silencers don’t technically take off range, the sound and the already low recoil just makes the feel of the gun more controlled. It’s mental. A great attachment for this gun for a medium-long range silenced class, but definitely go with an SMG for shorter ranges.

M4 with Silencer attachment

Advance Combative Optical Gunsight (ACOG) -
Taking on snipers in full sight is not advised, as your head will be cruelly taken away, but if you see a target who isn't aware of you by all means line up a shot and take them out.

M14
The M14 is widely known throughout cod4 for it's fierce recoil and devastating power. It is easily visible that "in a nutshell" the M14 is just an M21 without a humongous scope on it. Although their are obviously several differences, the two weapons have similar characteristics, although the M14 trumps the M21 when it comes to combat versatility. The sheer power of this weapon can be utilized on a variety of maps, when in the right hands.

Attachments

Anyone who has played cod4 more than five minutes knows when attachments are unlocked. Luckily, for some of you I will still enlighten you with knowledge that you may already have obtained.

Red Dot Sight

The Red Dot Sight is the most commonly used attachment for the M14, although a player's specific style dictates which attachment they can potentially use to dish-out the most kills. The Red Dot Sight is obviously unlocked after getting 25 kills with the M14(DUH!!). The attachment allows a player to have somewhat increased range with the M14, as in my personal opinion it has a better view of the target compared to the iron sights. In most cases I recommend using the M14 for any map, the RDS just makes everything more simple when aiming at a target. So when in doubt about which attachment to use, go with the RDS.

Silencer

My personal favorite attachment for the M14 is the silencer, it is unlocked after getting 75 kills with the M14. Although I do not recommend it for new-comers to the weapon.I use it to mask the horrific and gigantic sound that the M14 makes while firing. Their have been many controversies about a silencer not reducing recoil, although I will not arise an argument on this topic. In my personal opinion the "psychological" and/or "visual" recoil is reduced slightly, although to be completely honest it is not much of a difference. The main advantage is the fact that you do not show up on radar when you fire your weapon, so you apparently gain the element of surprise when a UAV is not activated.

ACOG Scope

I do not recommend the ACOG scope for the M14 for several pressing reasons. The weapon with stopping power can usually kill an enemy with 1-2 shots. The ACOG scope is a 4x scope, meaning that you are zoomed in 4x. This means that when you fire while zoomed with the ACOG scope, your visual recoil is also multiplied by 4x, which can be annoying when 1 shot doesn't kill an enemy, and you have to fight your recoil to finish him/her off with a second shot. Overall I just don't like the combination of the ACOG scope and the M14. To be completely honest and blunt, an M14 with an ACOG scope pisses me off more than martyrdom and the n00b tube combined(SERIOUSLY!). Unlocked after getting 150 kills with the M14.

Overview

The M14 is a very versatile and powerful weapon. While in the right hands it can be more deadly than Chuck Norris on speed. If you are up to the small challenge of managing the recoil, you'll be able to paint the map with the blood of your enemy. The M14 makes it easy to make sure that your foe gets a lead salad every time you play. Thank you for viewing this guide.

About the MP44:

Ahh, the MP44. So underrated, yet, overrated at the same time. I cannot recall how many times I have heard, “OMG that gun is so horrible it’s a WWII gun and it doesn’t even have any attachments I mean OMGWTFBBQZOR?” On the other hand, I have also heard this countless times: “OMG I can’t wait until I unlock the MP44, have you looked at its stats?? It’s the last gun you unlock so it HAS to be really good!” Please. Get real. The bars are not accurate at all, they are very misleading. But that’s off topic. The thing I probably hear most often is, “God, I hate this gun so much. How in the hell am I supposed to get a Golden AK-47 if I can’t get a single headshot with this stupid gun?” In this guide, I hope to be able to cover all three of these aspects with you. This gun does not have any attachments, so this is mainly a strategy guide.

MP44 General tips:
For those of you who hate it, give it more of a chance. For those of you who just think its going to be the most godly gun you’ve ever set your hands on…well, give it a shot for yourself. Its major downside is that it doesn’t have any attachments. The iron sights are mediocre, but not great. However, that does not make this gun horrible. Kind of “ugh…” recoil, fair accuracy, down on the fire rate, but “Holy Crap!” damage. Once you get used to it, you may find you like it more than you thought you did before.

MP44 Headshot tips:
Well here it is. For those who still don’t like the MP44, and just want me to shut up about how to use it so they can get headshots, this is for you. Here are several ways to get headshots for this gun without cheating. First off, bare with me now, cage match. Now this doesn’t mean in the lobby saying “Hey dude, want to do headshots?” I mean actually playing out the game. Put on Dead Silence and just creep around with this gun, many times in cage match people just camp so you can line up for an easy headshot. Here is another idea: Overkill. Whenever you come across an easy headshot, let’s say it’s an unsuspecting sniper we’re dealing with here, just come up behind them, or for the head on approach, go prone, creep around the corner, pull out that overkilled MP44, and line up (use stopping power and short bursts for best results! Though you cannot use stopping power with overkill, this applies to all classes) Not much else you can say. Check out the headshot tips guide for more details. With this gun’s recoil, aiming for the head might not always work for those longer ranges. Instead, the recoil will carry the bullets everywhere. You might want to aim for the neck or bottom of the head instead of the brain for those shots. For other ranges though, aim at the nose. You don’t need to hit the brain in this game. I like to call this the “toothless mouth” approach. This way, bullet spread will usually still hit the head, and recoil will be ok too because the bullets will still hit the top of the head.

MP44 Perks:

Bandolier: Never found ammo much of a problem, but if you do, hey, what can go wrong with this perk?

Frag x3: You could always use more frags, especially to access longer ranges, since recoil might make you regret trying to take out that sniper.

C4 x2: This isn’t really a camping gun, so C4, along with Claymores, isn’t really recommended for assaulting.

RPG-7 x2: “Hey, you see that chopper? Yeah, the one with the fire coming out of it.” You ALWAYS want to be the one saying that. A very safe perk, no doubt. Of course, try not to go too long range with these though, as they curve up after short distances and spin around and do all sorts of flips and act like a seal at an acrobatics show.

Double Tap: Of course, this gun has an embarrassingly low fire rate. The MP44 is like the guy sitting by the punch bowl at the annual Fire Rate dance, and the popular M4 is just sitting in the corner with all of his friends laughing at it. This perk fixes that up right nicely, makes recoil a bit worse but if that fire rate is getting on your nerves, then this is a good perk.

Stopping Power: A great perk with this gun, with only mediocre accuracy and frustrating recoil, you want them to go down fast. I guess you could consider this a continuation of above, at the annual Damage dance the MP44 walks in and kills everyone in front of the M4, then violently saws the M4’s head off with a toothbrush. Hey, it’s Sweeney Todd all over again, except with a toothbrush this time! Maybe we could make a remake and call it Sweeney Tooth! Sorry, off-topic. Good perk for this gun.

Steady Aim: You can’t go wrong with close quarters hip fire, accuracy is something this gun could use especially with its recoil. All the ownage of the MP44 in combination with the mobility of free movement. For most accurate affects, stand still to shoot.

Deep Impact: Many also prefer this. A very good perk no doubt, you can’t go wrong with making that concrete look like Styrofoam. And then you get to laugh when the builders get sued.

MP44 classes:

Good MP44 maps:
Generally anything that is close to medium range. The recoil and sights just make long range a no-no for this weapon. Some examples:
Vacant
Showdown
Shipment
Chinatown
